6 Delicious Mocktails For Spooky Season

While exploring mocktails, be aware of certain ingredients. Certain “non-alcoholic” bitters may contain trace amounts of alcohol.

Spooky season is here, which means it’s time to haul out Halloween decorations, scary movies, and delicious, autumnal mocktails. No matter the time of year, there’s a non-alcoholic beverage perfect for celebrating the season. Plus, like all things related to the spooky season, these mocktails offer a dramatic spin that makes them the ultimate showstoppers for Halloween parties and fall get-togethers. With serious flavor and flair, they’re a great way to get into the vibe while maintaining your sobriety goals. Here are 7 delicious mocktails to try this spooky season.

Spooky Shirley Temples

This classic non-alcoholic beverage gets a creative spooky spin—all from a little creative presentation. The ginger beer gives this drink a spicy twist that matches other major flavors of the season—and it’s completely alcohol-free.

2-3 maraschino cherries

8 ounces ginger beer, chilled

½ ounce grenadine

Add maraschino cherries and chilled ginger beer to glass.  Pour ½ ounce of grenadine down the side of the glass and allow it to settle at the bottom.

Caramel Apple

Caramel apples are a hallmark of the season. The combination of sweet caramel and fruity apple is reminiscent of hay rides, harvest festivals, and town fairs—all rolled up into one crowd-pleasing mocktail.

2 ounces caramel sauce and ⅓ cup for garnish

⅓ cup white sugar

7 ounces apple cider

7 ounces ginger beer

1 cinnamon stick

Rim tall glass ⅓ cup warm caramel sauce and white sugar. Add 2 ounces of caramel sauce to the bottom of the glass, followed by apple cider. Top the glass with ginger beer and stir until well combined. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Blackberry Witch’s Brew

With pale fog emerging from a dark purple drink, the Blackberry Witch’s Brew is perfect for maximum dramatic effect. The tart flavor of the blackberries, combined with a lift from seltzer water and a twist of lime, creates a delicate, sweet, and bubbly taste, and the dry ice provides the ultimate spooky vibes.

½ cup seltzer or club soda

½ cup ginger beer

Juice from ½ lime

Dry ice

Muddle blackberries in a shaker. Add lime and seltzer or club soda. Pour into glass and top with ginger beer. Lastly, add a small chunk of dry ice.

Dracula’s Kiss

This drink is a non-alcoholic spin on a quintessential Halloween drink. With only a few simple ingredients, you can create an eye-catching pop of color, and, since the Dracula’s Kiss mocktail is made with familiar flavors, it’s a perfect option for parties. To heighten the spooky effect, serve in a tall, chilled glass.

½ ounce grenadine

Cubed ice

½ cup colaCoca Cola

2 maraschino cherries

Pour grenadine into glass. Add cubed ice, then slowly add colaCoca Cola to get a gradient color effect. Garnish with two maraschino cherries to resemble two bite marks.

There’s nothing more iconic for fall decorations than the ubiquitous jack-o’-lantern. The Jack-O’-Lantern mocktail is all about simple flavors, but the creative garnish takes this one to the next level. Serve in a wide cup to ensure that the drink is still sippable without removing the creative pumpkin top.

1 ounce orange juice

4-5 ounces ginger ale

Lime twist

Orange wheel

To make the garnish, insert the end of the lime twist into the center of the orange wheel to resemble a pumpkin stem. Add ice and orange juice to glass. Fill glass with ginger ale, and float orange wheel garnish on top.
