Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative guided meditation practiced lying down. It is also known as "yogic sleep". Unlike active flows, it leads you through the layers of the self(physical, energetic and mental) to reach a state of conscious relaxation between wakefulness and sleep. It is designed to quiet the mind, regulate the nervous system, release deep-seated tension, and leaves you feeling profoundly rested.
Come as you are. The Phoenix Community Center has everything you need. You may bring your own pillow and blanket if you'd prefer.
The doors will be locked 10 minutes after 6pm to ensure others won't be disrupted during meditation.
