Event Details
The Phoenix is honored to be a partner at the 2021 Mobilize Recovery Conference, providing wellness sessions and an informative panel at the event. Mobilize Recovery is an initiative of the Recovery Advocacy Project and The Voices Project. Its mission is to expand policy to support recovery, create connections to supportive services that are vital and life-saving, and engage affected individuals in meaningful civic action. This year’s Mobilize Recovery will be hosted online and in-person at the Westgate Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
Be sure to follow our Instagram stories throughout the conference for peeks behind-the-scenes, and join us live on YouTube for 2 main events on Sunday, September 26th:
Fitness with The Phoenix: 10am EST
Instructor: Caleb Ferguson
High Intensity Total Body Workout combining aspects of HIIT (high intensity interval training), strength and conditioning, and functional movement. No equipment needed, but a water bottle and towel can be helpful. Options for alternate movements are demonstrated, so all experience levels are welcome.
Breakout Session: 6pm – 7:30pm EST
Introduction to The Phoenix Panel and Discussion
Led By: Liz McKean, Caleb Ferguson, Bryce Cobb III
The Phoenix is a sober, active community on a mission to break down stigma and provide meaningful connection for people impacted by substance use. In this breakout session, participants will learn about Phoenix’s free, peer-led activities, and the power of community that is creating a movement to change the way people view recovery. Learn what it’s like to be part of the movement, and how social activities such as group fitness, meditation, and music events can support people in your community. After a brief introduction to Phoenix programs and impact, a panel of members will answer questions, engage in discussion, and share their personal journeys and how The Phoenix has changed their lives and those around them. Time will be allotted for questions from the audience.
Registering for The Phoenix Watch party does NOT register you for the official Mobilize Recovery Conference.
